Making its mark on the Munich comedy scene, Munich Improv Duos is the best place to get a wide variety of English improv in Munich. Organised by Alec Shea at Heppel & Ettlich in Münchener Freiheit, see unique improv shows every month with an international cast (and international audience!)

Improv is a fast-growing style of comedy, providing a great night out full of laughs, craziness and absurdity you can’t find anywhere else. This atmosphere wouldn’t exist without the incredible community behind it. Amateurs and pros regularly perform together, support each other, and seek to make every show just as fun for everyone on stage as it is for the audience!

Munich Improv Duos features local improv talent like Nikhil Madgar and Ryan Charnoky, and international special guests like Casey Feigh of Holy Shit Improv, Chicago improv legend
Joe Bill, Gonzalo Pinan and Konstantin Häfner from ES Impro Berlin, Mayumi Hikida, and many more!

There’s a lot of places to find English improv in Munich. But Munich Improv Duos focuses specifically on twoprov (two person improv shows). These shows give performers the opportunity to experiment with different styles of improv, be creative, and try something they often don’t get to.

Some sets from the show also get released on Alec’s YouTube channel. Alec first discovered improv by watching it online. Shows like Whose Line Is It Anyway, Improv-a-Ganza, Upright Citizens Brigade’s ASSSSCAT Show, and more. So now he hopes to share some of the performances from Munich Improv Duos with the world in the same way!
